This is one of the very first vintage horse postcards that I came across. I was intrigued with the postcard concept and also the still legible note on the back.  

The note reads:

"This is Jack - 21 last June - a horse that Fred raised. He is all right yet - does lots of hard work but is getting fat. The girl is Marguarite French - granddaughter of our cousin who lives on the adjoining farm. They are great friends. Josie gave us a picture of your brothers horse. While he is younger and looks better we do not think he will do any better than Jack."

While the photo is blurry, it has a mystical quality to it and only adds appeal.

This vintage note set is made up of six cards with a copy of the vintage print mounted on a black matte against a smooth flecked card stock. Each card measures 6.5 by 4.75 inches. The inside is left blank for your personal message and is embellished with a black scalloped border. All cards are in protective sleeves and packed in a black box with a black ribbon.
